Being the best version of yourself takes effort. Unless, of course, you are a freak of nature and are always running at full tilt. Most of us, ebb and flow. The energy it takes to sustain optimal output must be replenished often.
A fantastic way to recharge the battery is to shut off altogether. Meditation comes to mind, for a full body transformation. Body, mind and spirit benefit when one sits quietly. Allowing the self chatter to cease, it will propel the body into a state of relaxation.
Listening to music, going for a walk, being out in nature or simply sitting watching the world go by, are all possible ideas for reconnecting to our higher selves. It does not take a great deal of effort to slow down, yet so few of us grant ourselves this gift. Facilitating solitude is not a luxury, it is a necessity. The excuse of being ‘too busy’ does not cut it either. The busier one is, the more they will profit from the silence.
To strengthen our resolve and pave the way for a better tomorrow, we have to navigate through the day at the highest level. It is achievable despite the naysayers ‘poo-pooing’ our attempts. Consistent focus and laser concentration will naturally bring about the directness needed to play at the ultimate level. There may be lapses but with training one can learn to get back on track with relative ease. It is a matter of practise.
The skills it takes to bring forth our best efforts are in each and every one of us. If we have ever experienced a time, however fleeting, when everything worked out as it should, the capability to recreate those efforts is present. We can prepare our hearts and minds to formulate any desired outcomes.
Striving for the best in each of us may come naturally to some whilst others have to work at it. The usual results are somewhere in between. No matter how excellence is achieved doing our best is a wonderful place to live. It makes a difference to all the lives we touch. Dig deep and reach for the highest quality. You can do it.
